Once a writer, always a writer

I've always loved writing. When I was little kid I used to make books with pictures and read them to my parents, and in some cases, my cat. Now I'm writing analysis essays and timed writings, but I'm still writing. And I still love it. My grandma sent me an email a couple of weeks ago with a word document attachment to the "blog" that I used to write at her house. Everyday after school, I would walk to her house and type in my "journal". I was such a dork. After recieving that email, I realized I always have been blogger... just in a different capacity. 

Keep in mind that I wrote this blog when I was in the fifth grade... so don't judge my grammatical errors and excessive use of exclamation marks. Oh & I was obsessed with turtles. Just a heads up.

   My daily day =)

Why hello there! My name is Madison! I love to dance and I always get bored. As u can see I am having some fun with my gran =]. Well, I went to school today! Yep, school…what a shocker there =0! I learned boring stuff that they say I will need in the future. ( but really..I don’t think we need social studies in the future. ) I’ve been doing some stuff there like my mini maverick moniter job which I sadly had to give up. I also saw my project which I don’t even know my grade yet which makes me kinda sad! And of course the grand finale… MRS. GAFFNER!! Now, she is kinda old and cranky. Personally, I think she should retire. And right after school I usually just walk to my gran and grandpa’s house! YAYY! I really like doing that. It is A LOT of fun. And right now I am at her house typing this! And here is some things about me. My favorite color is green and I absolutely LOVE turtles..which by the way some are endangerd =[. So, SAVE THE TURTLES! And right now I am reading a book called project mulberry. It’s about silk worms. Intresting isn’t it? (haha)  And, I cant think of anything else to say! Oh me, Oh my! Well I have officially decided for this to be my online diary. Hmmm… so I will try to come back each day to type. And if this is gran or grandpa I will keep u updated. Adiohos amigos! TTYL!

 Well it is today again =/

Today I went to school…BOORING. End of story. The most exciting part about my day was having a sprit rally that I proudly led! Cause well I am secretary..DUHH. And I learned the most boring things like science. Ickk. And math. Which I am proud to say I stink at. Hehe =). And to day we had a subsitute for a while. It was Mr. Gruber. He is like the only decent sub in Coppell. He always tells us random stories that are pointless and he teaches us the redneck dance! ( which by the way is the weirdest dance u will ever see and do. ) So after that I had lunch. Cicis pepporoni pizza. Yum. And now back to the sprit rally. Well, Mr . Mac was here which was pretty cool I guess. We also had Jay Jenson from radio disney come! He was pretty funny. And now drum role please….MRS. MITCHELL KISSED A PIG! The pig was so cute! Her name was Pricilla and she was just a little baby. ( this is the part where u go …awwwww =] ) Well I think im gonna go now. Cause of course I have dance. Ewww. Not that I hate or anything…It is just im not in the mood to dance and shake today. So sorry. gotta go. Ill write tomorrow. Chao!

Its Friday…YESSS

Well today was just a normal day..nothing exciting. But it is Friday! YEA! So now I get to have the weekend! Feww I am so glad this week is over. But next week I get to go to sky ranch! Which will be loads of fun. Im gonna do everything I can do there! Plus, my momma is going so it will be even better. But the worst part about today is I have 2 hours of musical theatre to do! Grrr.. But tonight I do get to go Kate Goldsmith’s house to watch the premier of RETURN TO HALLOWEENTOWN! So I am looking forward to that. Well I will be back later. Chao!

Today was a good day. I realized three things: I have the best friends ever, I really really really miss bike riding and spring just can't get here fast enough.

My final today in creative writing class was simple. We could write poetry or prose about whatever we wanted - person, place, or thing. Naturally, I chose New York. I really liked my final result. It's not as deep as poems usually are, but I liked it.

dark cement, lingering with the traces of people

a tall ballerina leaving an audition

a buisnessman carrying a briefcase

a lonely, aged man searching for refuge

a swirl of yellow speeds by

horns honking in agitation

a man drops a penny face up

another man bends down to retrieve it

the sky is darkening, the sun is waving goodbye

 tall buildings are hiding the moon

bright lights are blocking the stars

but those same bright lights serve as their own stars

people walk home with heavy shoulders and tired eyes

some holding hands

some looking down

all looking weathered

but in their weathered bodies live city dreams

of hot dogs on the corner

of cozy lofts high above the busy streets

of "hole in the wall" diners and the "worlds best cup of coffee"

this place is an art form

with its own language

its own colors

its own religion

this place is New York

- Counting down the days till I'm 18 (64 to be exact).

- Planning a trip to London

Two more finals to go & then I'm done! Wish me luck. Algebra II, pleeeease don't be too hard.

I'm going to London. & Paris. & Canada. All in the same summer. 

I can't wait to go to London with my family! We're spending about 10 days there, three of which will be in Paris. I'm dreading the 8 hour plane ride, but the London streets will make it worth it, right?

I need to do my research and get it all planned out. I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait. 

About two weeks after I get back, I leave again to go to Canada with Madeline and her family! Her family owns an island off the coast of Gananoque. It's the cutest little town with the cutest little stores. I can't wait to lay out and tan in 70 degree weather. Heck yes. 

Lately

Life lately has been pretty busy. The 6:00 am mornings are back. They never get easier. It's the first week back to school and it's been surprisingly stressful! Finals are next week and last minute tests are being crammed in. Tomorrow I have a history and math test and then a physics and english test on Friday. I bought myself some cookies and gummy worms to help myself get through the work. 

All I want to do is take my camera around. I have had no time at all to film or photograph anything! Hopefully that will change this weekend. A filming day is much needed.

It's been raining for the past two days non stop. You could say I'm pretty thrilled. Rain is one of my favorite things in the whole wide world. It makes me want to curl up in bed with a really good book and never get out. But by 6:00 am my alarm clock rings too early, and sadly I have to get out of my warm and toasty cocoon. 

2:05 AM

It's 2:05 AM and all I wanna do is write. Why is it that inspiration comes to me at such inconvenient times? I seem to be my most productive in the middle of the night. 

Welp, the thought of school is looming. I have APUSH IDs to memorize and thats not going to be easy. I am seriously going to need someone to pin me to a chair, get me a pumpkin spice latte and then stick the IDs in my face. Going back to school and Lariettes is gonna be killer. The most stressful time of the year is here! (Yay contest season) but I'll be okay... I think. With Christmas over, my post holiday depression has set in. No more Christmas music to help me do homework to (boo). 

My break has been pretty wonderful though! I got to spend it with some pretty awesome people. Oh, and if you haven't noticed, I got a pretty rad camera. :)  I was able to look at pretty lights and bake yummy treats. So, it's been a good two weeks in my book. But, I was wishing to be a little bit more productive. I have a stack of books residing on my dresser that should've been read this break (I slept instead). I also have a messy backpack that I have been meaning to organize. But, there's not one part of me that wants to do it. All I want to do is lay in bed. Hopefully I can find a high paying job that just lets me sleep all day. 

I can't wait to be officially out of school. I'm such a winter person, but summer is looking pretty good right about now. I can't stop talking about the London and Paris trip I'll be taking this summer! Sorry if I annoy you. I might even go to the island in Canada again with Madeline. So hopefully this will be a traveling summer, 'cause that sounds pretty fantastic to me. 

Well, now it's 2:16 AM. I'm going to go try this whole "sleeping at a normal time" thing again.
