my cup of tea

Friday was great! I woke up early to go get donuts with Johnny boy. It was the best way to start the day. We watched real housewives and played videogames on his new iTouch (he's obsessed).

Later in the day my mom, sister, gran and I went to have high tea. It was so fun & very cute. :) We went to an adorable little french restaurant with a name too fancy to pronounce. I must admit, I didn't like the food but the tea was fantastic! They brought us little tea sandwiches and macaroons. We got to end the meal with scones and mini pastries.

My mom is adorable.

Friday night we went to a wedding for one of our favorite family friends! It was beautiful. The food was great and I got to see my favorite little munchkin, Kyndal. :)

My new camera is wonderful. Like, for real.

Snow, twinkly lights & Christmas

Christmas was wonderful this year! I got a new camera (yay), but in the process of switching to my new camera, I lost my old camera's USB cord (boo). So I lost tons of pictures that I took pre-new camera. I'm certain it will show up one of these days! Probably mid July when Christmas is long gone, knowing my luck.

My sister and I woke up Christmas morning to rain pounding against the window. I loved it. I considered that one of my many presents I recieved that day! We had a yummy breakfast and then it was naptime, of course. My sister woke me up in the middle of my nap yelling that it was snowing! I was so happy. :) I played outside in the snow with the pups and my dad and sister. It's times like those that I wished I lived in Colorado.

Johnny & I have been running around playing with my new camera! We went to the park today and played with the ducks. Video to come soon!

I've also been baking alot lately! My parents gave me an apron and my grandma gave me a new oven mitt, so you could say I'm on cloud nine.

Break has been awesome so far, but the return of school is looming. I'm dreading going back. School is so draining. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm really missing summer.

A White Christmas

Paris Dreaming

Does anybody want to take me to Paris?
The pastries, the twinkly lights, the old buildings
That all sounds pretty perfect right now

School is killer this week. It feels like Christmas break will never get here! I've been going and going and going for weeks and it's time I need a break. Lariettes has been especially crazy lately! We've been learning dance after dance getting ready for competition. My brain is like mush and my body feels like spaghetti. But thankfully sister is home! She brought me lunch today (Whataburger - yay!) and we've been watching movies and playing ping pong. Did I mention that I'm pretty fantastic at ping pong? Because, well, I am :) I got to pull out the tacky Christmas sweater today, so that made me pretty happy. It's always a good day when you can wear a tacky sweater :) Can we all just agree to wear one everyday? 'Cause I'd like that.

french toast, home alone & really bad hot chocolate

Johnny Boy came over last night. We had quite a Christmasy night! Apparentley, he's the the "french toast master" so he made some delicious french toast. :) We had some yummy fruit to go with it! It's safe to say, John makes the best french toast in town. We also watched Home Alone, one of my favorite Christmas movies! Johnny Boy found it pretty funny. :)

We tried to make some hot chocolate, but it was super nasty. It was kind of a fail. We went on a walk and took some goofy pictures. John can't take a serious picture to save his life, so only a few turned out good. (Thanks John.)

But, occasionally I get lucky with a good photo. He can be quite handsome sometimes. :)

I can't believe I have one more week till Christmas break! It feels like I should already be on break. Sister is finally home, presents are wrapped, and the stockings are up, so it feels like Christmas is already here! Ahh I can't wait! This week better go by fast. Because Christmas, I can't wait much longer. :)

P.S. I'M GOING TO LONDON!!!!
To say I'm excited/ecstatic/crying tears of joy/happy would be an understatment.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

the most wonderful time of the year is here
we put up the tree & our twinkly lights
i've been sipping coffee and snacking on chocolate
the streets are lit and ready for santa!

we had our lariette Christmas party on sunday. i dined on bread and pasta. is it bad to say that the bread was the best part? then we had a secret santa exchange. i got the cutest little sack of goodies fit for the season! we caroled and drank hot chocolate. there was even a chance of snow that night.
the best part of the season is fuzzy socks & toasty fires & onesies & candles & twinkly lights & warm hats & movie nights & bonfires & even the smell of the air conditioning when it's on hot... is that weird that i like that? :)

i wanna i wanna i wanna
my bags are packed and ready to go

1 Year

Johnny Boy and I have been together for 1 year. 1 year! It's been the most perfect, special, wonderful, and best year ever.
John picked me up for a yummy dinner at Macaroni Grill and we laughed and talked and told funny stories. It's time like those when I realize how easy it is to talk to him and how I know I could talk to him for the rest of my life. :)
I made him a blanket with batman on it and he loved it. Being 6'3, I'm worried it might not be big enough for him, but its the thought that counts, right?
He wrote me a sweet letter and drew me a precious picture! They are now hanging on my bulletin board. I can't wait to read them every once in a while when I need to be reminded how amazing he really is. :)
Then we skated around for a while. Johnny is quite the skater boy. Me on the other hand... Let's just say all I can do is stand on it. While he's doing trick and flips and crusin' around, I'm stuck on the skateboard just praying I don't fall on my butt. But he helped me out, even though I could tell he was secretly laughing at me and my lack of coordination.
John has been the biggest blessing in my life! He brings me so much joy and laughter! He's a dork, but hey, we can be dorks together :)
